What AidRoute does, and how it helps day to day.

AidRoute is four tools that work together: guides for the system, routines for the day, a record of hard moments, and help near you. Here is what each one does.

Guides that tell you the next step

Written for the system your child is in: diagnosis, SEN support and EHCPs, DLA, PIP and Carer’s Allowance, health and therapies, and the move to adulthood.

  • Each guide is broken into numbered steps with the deadlines that matter.
  • A checklist remembers what you have done, so you can pick up where you left off.
  • Warnings flag the moments people most often get caught out.

Getting an EHCP

Step 3 of 7

Asking for an assessment

The council has 6 weeks to reply. Note the date you sent your request.
  • Collect reports from school, GP and any therapists
  • Write down what a hard day looks like, in your words
  • Send the request to the SEND team

Routines your child can follow

Step-by-step schedules for mornings, school and bedtime, each step with how long it takes, kept separately for each child you look after.

  • Drag steps into order and set how long each one takes.
  • Start from a template or build your own.
  • Routines with a start time can appear in your phone’s calendar.

A record of hard moments, and a calm space

Log what set things off, how intense it was and what helped, in under a minute. Over time the log shows patterns, and you can share a profile with a teacher or therapist.

  • Calm Mode for you in a hard moment: paced breathing, then a few minutes to reset. Your child gets their own quiet calm corner.
  • Progress charts you can take to school or health appointments.
  • A quick daily check-in for mood, energy and sleep.

Help near you

Charities, support groups and inclusive activities, found by your postcode. Parents can suggest places the directory is missing.

Private by design

We don't sell your data. We don't track your child for ads. Your private messages are encrypted on your device so nobody else can read them, your password can never be read by anyone, and you can delete what you store at any time: it goes from the app straight away, and from our backups within a few weeks as they are overwritten.
