Help for your child shouldn't depend on already knowing the system.

Getting a diagnosis, an EHCP or the right benefits usually means months of forms, letters and waiting. AidRoute puts what you need to know in one place, in plain words, with the next step always clear.

Why we built AidRoute

We are parents. Our child is autistic, and also has ADHD and epilepsy. When it began, we knew nothing about the system we were walking into.

We learned it the hard way: forms, waiting lists, appointments, and never quite knowing what was supposed to happen next. Every answer took longer to find than it should have.

So we built what we wished we had been given. AidRoute is for our family, and for every family starting where we started: the next step, in plain words, in one place.

What we believe

  • Clear beats clever

Every guide is written in plain English for the system your child is actually in, so you're not left piecing it together from search results at 2am.

  • Local, not generic

Support is found by your postcode: the charities, support groups and activities near you.

  • Your family's data is yours

We don't sell it or use it for advertising. You can download it or delete everything whenever you want.

How it works

  1. Tell us about your child

Their age and where you live are enough to start. A diagnosis is not needed.

  2. Follow your guides

From "what do I do first?" to SEN support, EHCPs and benefits, each guide breaks the process into steps and remembers where you got to.

  3. Plan the day and find help

Build routines your child can follow, keep a record of hard moments, and find support and inclusive activities near you.
